In this public talk, presents his career, research and recent breakthroughs on how memory works.
“The ability to remember enables us to live independent lives, and the majority of our conversations involve recounting memories from our lives; both our personal experiences as well as things we have experienced second-hand.”
Professor Bird and his research group use a combination of psychology experiments and brain-imaging to investigates adults with and without memory impairment from neurological damage.
“My studies use naturalistic materials, such as videos and stories, to understand how memory operates in everyday situations.”
