EmployAbility - Disability: adjustments in recruitment and the workplace - Online
About this session
Our , will kick off with a session focussed on empowering disabled and neurodivergent students to ask for the adjustments they need to ensure equity in recruitment and in the workplace. The session will give an overview of the Equality Act, the duty of the employer to provide the adjustments needed, and what constitutes a ‘reasonable’ adjustment.
It is a safe environment to ask any questions, and learn more about how Employability can help you.
About EmployAbility
The University has to provide students with disabilities and long-term health conditions with individualised advice and support about adjustments for recruitment and the workplace, information about your rights, and support you with your applications.
The EmployAbility team will also advocate for you with an employer to ensure you receive the adjustments you need, taking any stress and anxiety out of the process.
EmployAbility has been supporting students/ graduates with disabilities for 15 years and can provide expert advice and guidance on any questions relating to disability inclusion in the recruitment process and workplace.
